I have a 2 years or the conditional green card. (actually, waiting for it to be on the mailbox). but my question is, is it possible for me to petition my parents who are in the Philippines to come to the US? They have 10 years visitors visa already. But they can only stay in the US for a maximum on 6 months and then go back to the PI's and then come back again for 6 months for 10 years. This sounds so expensive. Please I need your help or information regarding this matter. Thanks.

Nope. Conditional or not, a permanent resident cannot petition for their parents. A permanent resident can only petition for their spouses, minor children, and unmarried adult children. Only a US citizen can petition for their parents.

As said before, you need to be a citizen to petition a parent.

If your parents are constantly coming back and hardly spending any time in the Philippines, they may find their tourist visa revoked. Its not intended to be used to basically live in the US.

But is it possible if the husband (who is a US citizen) to petition his In laws?

As stated you cannot petition for your parents while an LPR. You have to be a USC.

Your husband cannot petition for them as they are not his direct relatives.

ALSO as stated, your parents are violating the terms of the visitors visa but coming in and staying for 6 months and then returning to PI etc. It is a VISITOR visa, not a "live here some of the time" visa. If their pattern is discovered the visa will be revoked and they will be denied entry into the US.

** moved from "Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from Family Based Visas" to Bringing Family Members of Permanent Residents to America as the prior forum is for K1, K2, K3 & K4 visas so this is a more appropriate location**

Thanks everyone for your comments. However, my question has already been answered by JimVaYhoung (not sure about the spelling but from the first comment) from the very beginning. Meanwhile, I don't agree that a 6 month stay for my parents here in the US would be an issue. It hasn't been an issue for them and for other people that I've known. But, anyways, thanks for all your answers. God bless everyone for a speedy process. I know the hassle and buzzle of going through all these paper works. God bless and God speed.
