Hello everyone. Im from the Philippines. Im on the process of securing civil documents to be sent to NVC. MOst of the documents are complete already {NBI clearance, birt cert, passport, cenomar, etc) except that Im confused if I still need to secure a Police Clearance from a country(Taiwan) I worked with for exactly a year.

Any advise will be deeply appreciated. Thanks.

Taiwan Reciprocity Schedule can be found here:

It contains the information that you will need for your police cert.

If it says that you need the pcc if u have lived in country over year, then I would say get it.

It does not harm, but make your case more stronger.

Thanks for the reply. There's where my confusion come in, I stayed there not over a year but "exactly" one year. Do I still need to get PCC?

Yah, I already looked into this link. It's not really easy securing one since Im here in Cebu and I believe their office here in the Philippines is in Manila.

hi girl...hope my reply isn't too late yet...

this is how i requested for a police clearance as per advise of one of vj members when i posted the same concern.

-downloaded an application form from this site: www.meco.ph

-made a letter of request stating the reason for the need of PCC

-enclosed the following documents (only photocopies):

>biographic page (valid passport)

>biographic page (passport used in entering taiwan w/ visa & immigration stamps)

>US$20 processing fee for 2 copies & postage fee

>employment certificate (if available and if you worked during ur stay)

and i FedExed it to:

Foreign Affairs Division

Taipei Municipal Police Headquarters

No.96 Yen Ping South Road

Taipei, Taiwan ROC

i did not tell FedEx that i enclosed money in the envelope, since they will not allow money enclosed.

hope this helps...:)

goodluck to ur journey...godbless!!!
