F1 to J1 and second J1

Hi,

I've just completed an Internship under J-1 Intern visa, and I am planning to do a second internship soon. I still meet all the requirements for the internship program, but the sponsoring organization said that since I had a F-1 visa and a J-1 before, it may be difficult for me to have a new J-1.

I wonder how it is likely for me to be denied a new J-1. I am a French citizen, living in the US for 3 years now (2 years on F-1 and one year on J-1) and I don't have the 2 year residency rule. Thanks in advance for your help!
