hello everyone,

I have a question about the documents that are needed during the interview as evidence that we are marreid for real. So far I have pictures of engagement, pictures of both families together and videos and pictures that were taken in all the activities that we had together, like going to beach, visiting relatives, etc, also I want to include affidavits from people that know of our relationship, and I wanted to know how long does that have to be and what can they write on it. I have emails and phone records, with that I want to use the stamps from my passport that I visited my husband back in my country. This is all I have so far, and obviously the marriage certificate. I dont know if these will be enough for my husband to present at the interview, but I wanted to ask what are some of the questions that they ask during the interview. Any help from someone that has gone through the process would be appreciated, thanks.

Those are good. But, if possible, get couple of affidavits (then notarize it) prepared by third parties who attended your marriage ceremony.

hello Loto,

So I am including affidavits from third parties ,and Iyu am thinking to include my mother in-law and my dad. My question is: How long does the paper have to be, and what do they have to include in the paper when they write it so they know what to write. Alsoo does it have too handwritten or typed. And you said that if I get them notarized that would be better right? That is all, thanks a lot for answering my questions.

You can have someone that is fluent translate it, and have them state, "I certify that I am fluent in both languages", and sign the translation.

In fact, my mother does not know English. I prepared one for her in English (explained it to her), she signed it and get it notarized.

Maybe other countries are harsher than others but my wife and I only submitted 8 photos. What our attorney said was boarding passes for trips were more valuable than 100 photo books. I visit my wife at least every 3 months even if it's a 3 day weekend in Bogota. Just my experience.

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

Yes it might be, personally I do not know how it is in my country, but I am trying to get as much evidence as I can get, I visited my husband 3 summers, for 2008, 2009, and 2010. It is very hard for me to visit that often, I go to school and also it is a bit expensive to go from California where I live and Albania which is about 20 hr of flight. We have been married two years so I dont think that they would be very concerned about proof that we are really married, in the other hand I just want to get all I can, so they dont delay our visa process anymore. THanks for everything to everyone.

RE: Your name, your husband or fiance name plus any case number that has been assigned

Dear USCIS Representative,

My name is XXXXXXXXXXXXXXx, the reason I am writing today is to discuss my knowledge of the marriage/engagment of XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. Can describe your relationship to this person, aunt, uncle..or if friend how long they have known you.

I have known XXXXXXXXXXXx for X years and met (fiance or spouse X date in x year. ) I attended the xxxx function or describe a time or several times they have seen or been with you and your spouse/fiance.

Can say they think your a nice couple, or are pleased to see you happy or whatever comments that support your contention you are a real couple.

I swear the above are true and correct statements and would be willing to testify to such in front of a US Immigration official.

Kind Regards,

Your friends name and signature

*doesn't have to be notarized if this is inconvenient ..

** if you can get several of these that cover from the beginning of the relationship through to the present time it should suffice. for example if you met on a double date or at a party ect, have someone who was there write something about the initial meeting.. then go forward in time
