The example forms all have a space to enter the petitioners address (which is Cincinnati, Ohio) and then aspace for: (USCIS service center address)

but since Aug 3rd all K1 applications must be sent to the lockbox facility in Dallas..

Should I just use the Dallas Lockbox Facility address in this case?

Thanks for any help!

No. Use the service center address, either Vermont or California, that they will forward your petition to. Texas is simply doing the intake. They aren't doing anything else with your case.

According to this article:

http://www.articlesnatch.com/Article/K1-Visa-Processing-Changes/1422667

the Dallas Lockbox facility will forward the I-129F petition to whichever service center "best equipped to process the case quickly"

As a result, the processing times could fluctuate depending upon caseload and US Citizen petitioners were left in a situation where they could be "fortunate" and see their petition processed out rather quickly or "unfortunate" and see their petition processed out more slowly. The introduction of a lockbox facility should allow for more uniform processing times as the lockbox facility could forward a submitted petition to the service center best equipped to process the case quickly.

So, am I supposed to guess which service center it will end up at?

But the Guide on this website says to send it to the Dallas lockbox, and so does the USCIS website. Has something changed That I'm not aware of?

Ah, I think I understand the question and answer better now. Sorry. Never mind.

So, I will mail the petition to Dallas, Texas but on the Cover letter, and letter of intent I will use which service center address...?

Does anyone actually know?

Maybe I just won't bother putting in the service center address after all. I doesn't seem all that important anyway..

Yes, this is correct. Even though you'll be sending it to Texas, they will be forwarding it to your service center. The service center is where they'll actually be reviewing your package, so you want the letters of intent and cover letters to have their address on them.

I believe Ohio uses Vermont, but you might want to double check.

We sent our package to California Center on August 9. We didnt know about this change. Now we have to wait and see. But I still believe sending to the regular Service Canter is better. Our pack was received. Were waiting for NOA 1.

I was going to start a new thread, but since this one was here, I thought I might start by asking my question here first.

Hopefully this month I will be able to file my I-129f, and I know I need to send my application to the Texas address according to the I-129f instruction sheet, but what is not clear to me is what service center address do I use for the cover letter and letter of intent to marry? Previously a couple years ago I know that the service center that serviced Kentucky was Vermont, but just now I saw in several posts above that it was recommended to check out the following link to find your service center:

https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices

When I checked that site, it gave me the following results:

The following Service Centers and the National Benefit Center(s) service Kentucky:

* Texas Service Center

So should I use the Vermont Service Center still, or am I supposed to use the Texas Service Center? I'm really confused at this point and wondering if anybody out there can help clarify this for me? :)

Thanks in advance for any help you can lend... :)

Sending your packet to your regular Service Center is better only if you think delay is a good thing.

Change of Filing Location for Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e)

WASHINGTON - U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) today announced a change in filing location instructions and addresses for the Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) (Form I-129F). The new instructions, dated 6/14/10, are part of an overall effort to transition the intake of forms from Service Centers to USCIS Lockbox facilities. Centralizing form and fee intake to a Lockbox environment allows USCIS to provide customers with more efficient and effective initial processing of applications/petitions and fees.

Beginning Aug. 3, 2010 all Form I-129F petitions being filed by a U.S. citizen on behalf of a fiancé(e) or spouse must be submitted to the USCIS Dallas Lockbox facility.

For U.S. Postal Service:

USCIS

PO Box 660151

Dallas, TX 75266

For Express mail and courier deliveries:

USCIS

Attn: I-129F

2501 South State Highway 121 Business

Suite 400

Lewisville, TX 75067

Detailed guidance can be found in the updated Form I-129F instructions online at www.uscis.gov (click on the Forms tab).

The Vermont and California Service Centers will forward incorrectly filed petitions to the USCIS Dallas Lockbox for a period of 45 days until Sept. 17, 2010. After Sept. 17, 2010, petitions and fees submitted at the Service Centers will be returned to the applicant, with a note advising them of the correct filing location.

Applicants filing a form at a USCIS Lockbox facility may elect to receive an e-mail and/or text message notifying them that their petition has been accepted by completing Form G-1145, E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance, and attaching it to the first page of their application.

For more information on USCIS programs, visit www.uscis.gov or call the USCIS National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

I typed in the area code for mason Ohio, which is 45040 ..and..it says.. Nebraska?

But I thought it was just california or vermont?

I feel like a retard. Should I just go with Nebraska?

According to the new I-129F instructions, the petition is sent to the Dallas lockbox now. As far as addressing your letters within the petition, it is best to search the service center that deals with your region as you did. I live in Georgia, and Vermont was my service center. Apparently, changes in service centers have occurred because now, when I check it, it says that Texas is my service center. Good thing to keep on checking right up to the point that we actually send in the petition.
