Hey guys,

First off, not sure if this is the right place to post..if not, please feel free to move my post..

My husband arrived (CR-1 visa) here July 1, 2010 and we have not yet received his welcome card! What's the deal? We got his SSN card about 2 weeks after his arrival.

What should I do?

Thanks!

My Wife's PEO was August 1 but no Welcome letter yet either. Have your husband received Social Security Card yet ? If yes did he go to a local SS office to order SS Card?

Many Thanks

Call the USCIS, (they will ask your husband A number) if they said that they dont have your file then call your husband POE immigration. And ask them if they already forwarded your papers to the USCIS.

hope this help

I got the welcome letter, where it said they would call in a 30 days or something. We never ehard from them, maybe they called but we were not home. My wife got her ssn and greencard. Should i call, or do it really matter since she already has a green card and ssn?

If she already has her green card I wouldn't worry about the welcome letter.

We did receive his SSN but no welcome letter. I just tried calling USCIS and could NOT get a hold of anyone. Is there another number I need to call apart from 1-800-375-5283??

  • 2 months later...

Have you gotten your welcome letter and/or green card yet?

We are in the same boat - SS #, state i.d. but no green card and NO welcome letter.

We have, however, gotten a biometrics appt letter.

Getting a little worried. Welcome letter should be here within 30 days (today is 30 days), and it's not yet here.

Called USCIS, and they wouldn't even take name, number, for looking up info because my husband was not with me. Won't give me info.
