Hi everyone,

I have been searching for this answer throughout the site and I have found conflicting answers....

For a K1 visa should we check I DO intend to make specific contributions or I DO NOT intend to make specific contributions? Obviously my fiance will have to support me until I have my EAD and can work but our bank account in the US is already a joint account so if I need something I can just use our debit or credit card....

Your help is appreciated!

Typically, yes, the USC answers that I DO intend to support the fiancee with whatever means necessary as so he/she does not become a public burden. If you look at the example forms on this page http://www.visajourney.com/content/examples you can click on an example I-134 to see what you can put exactly.

I'm confused about that as well...VJ example form say "N/A K1 visa app"

Hmmm....I'll be going through the London embassy and have heard that they really don't like the phrase "N/A"!

We answered "Yes" and followed it with "I [my now-wife] intend to marry him and hold property in common as husband and wife."

DON'T PANIC

I put the whole I DO intend to support... sentence, but also put in there that it was a K1. I had my co-sponsor do the same, that they do intend to support my fiancé but also that it was for a K1. Not sure if it matters, but I thought I'd be safe and do it that way just in case.

Ah, yeah, sorry about that. I could have sworn it said Yes. I have read as well that, if you are going through London, they prefer you say yes, that the USC DOES intend to sponsor the foreign fiance.
