Hi there,

I just received my new EAD card but i have a question about it. When I came to the US in March as a fiancee i filed an application for EAD right away with my maiden name. Unfortunately i didn't know that time that it would be valid only with my finacee visa and of course my case wasn't approved until my fiancee visa expired.

So i got married and i filed for AOS and for an other EAD and AP with my married name this time. A few days ago i checked my status online and it said my newer EAD application and the AP have been approved and they're going to mail the card to me soon. It took only a few days to receive the EAD card and the travel document.

The travel document was issued with my married name as i applied but my EAD card has all my old information from the first application. It has my maiden name, the old case number, even the photo that i sent the first time and the category is A6 which is for fiancees. However, this card is valid for a year from now. I thought since i had to apply for an EAD again after i got married they're going to issue a card with my new information like my married name and so on.

Can anyone tell me that it is a mistake that my card was issued like this or this is just the way they do it?

Thanks
