Can we choose the Port of Entry?

Congratulations to all of those included in this new burst of approvals!

When the time comes ... and it's gonna be a loooong time ... how is the K-3 (or CR-1) Port of Entry determined? Can a specific POE be requested, or must it be the one closest to the Immigrant's new residence?

(My mom made me ask this - honest! We'll live in SC, but she's in NY and wants us to visit her upon arrival)

You can go to any POE... anywhere you like.

Most Canadian airports and a those couple in Ireland (may be more that I'm unaware of) are "Pre Flight Inspection" posts, meaning that the foreigners clear US Immigration at that airport, before they physically land in the US.

[A lot of K1s ask about honeymooning in the Caribbean - I wonder if a K1 could clear immigration in Aruba, Bermuda, or the Bahamas and get married and have their honeymoon there before continuing on to the USA?]

hmmm. I don't see how.

You don't get PFI'd coming in.. just going out. By then the deed is done. Unless they start in say Bermuda, continue on to Bahamas and then onto the lower 48.
