"Has Anyone Ever Filed an Immigrant Visa Petition on Your Behalf?"

How should I answer that question? Of course, this form is for a K1 visa. If I put yes, will they think that someone else has applied earlier? Thanks ahead of time.

Were you engaged to someone else before, and did they file a petition for you? Or did your fiance previously try to file a petition for you? If not, put no.

If yes, they will check to see if someone else has already filed a petition for you, whether or not it was approved.

I should point out here that an I-129F is a NON-immigrant visa petition, and would not count for the purposes of this question. If the only thing someone has ever filed for you is a fiance visa petition, you should still say no.

You should say yes if someone has filed an I-130 for you, and certain types of work visas (but NOT H1-Bs, TNs, or student visas) might count as well.
