Fiancée paperwork signatures

Well it's now one month until I head to the Philippines to see my lady. I plan to file my I-129F package upon my return. Can I have her sign the G-325A and Letter of Intent while I am there? Will it matter if the signature date is before the date that I am back in the US? I just want to get things rolling as soon as I return and not have to wait for her to snail mail me the signed documents.

Thanks for all the help this forum has been.

John

its ok your fiance can sign the G325A and intent to marry when you met her soon in the philippines.Do not put the date of the intent to marry and G325.Its good that only the signature of your fiancee and then you put the date when you ready to send in the USCIS coz you dont know when did you file the I-129F.Then you can bring also some documents from your fiancee.like copy of birth certificate,2x2passport size.

Hey John...

That is what I did... My dates were 1 month prior to filing... Make sure you get passport photos of her while you're there and have her sign the letter of intent as well...

Get multiple original copies of the G-325A and Letter of Intent with her orrignal signatures in case you need them later to recontruct you petition..

Thanks for the info guys. I will get sigs only when I am there and date them myself just before I send in package. And as you said, it's a good time to get the other docs and pic that I will need while I am there.

thanks to all,

John

You may want to get visa/passport photos for yourself too, while you are there. Much cheaper than in US, by far. About $1.

For me, I had my fiancee date the documents as she signed them. That way you have another proof of your actual time there. Post-dating them seems shady to me.

Good day..I agree with John..I dated my G325 after I signed them whenever my fiance was here in Phil...my fiance had me filled up 2 copies just in case..but I guess they only need one from each of you(am i right?..hehe)...they might notice your handwriting so just let her sign and date it..either so, you said you will file as soon as you return...Take lots of pics of you and with her family...God bless on the filing!!..:thumbs:

I agree with the others who are saying to have your fiancée sign and date the G325 at the time you see her and not post-date it. When you answer question 18 on your I-129F, you can indicate that you had her sign the form during your meeting at that time knowing that you were going to file the form and accompanying paperwork.

Best wishes to you both! :)
