7/22/2010: USCIS CSC received my I-130 package (2" thick)

7/30/2010: $355 check cashed

8/14/2010: still no NOA1 & I start getting nervous

Have anyone waited such a long time before getting NOA1?

i got my NOA2 approval notice little over 4 months. i asked 2 lawyers and they told me it takes about 4-5 months. but others might be faster. sometimes you can't really tell exactly. Hang in there it will come!

Yes. Like everyone here. Need to start learning a lot more patience as you are going to need it.

be patient thats what ive learned here when we filed our application but make sure your address is correct and no no for PO Box as what happened to us took like a month to get the NOA1 just call uscis and confirmed if they already received it then they will give u an idea whats the status. always pray and god will guide you on ur journey

My NOA1 is only 2 weeks. You should give them 1 more week before calling them. OR, you can signs up online to check your status.

ops. you might need your NOA1 account before signs up.

They cashed $355. Are they waiting for the remaining $100? I thought the I-129F was $455.

Assume that you sent your package to CSC, check at back of your cashed check to see any line begin with WACxxxxxxxx. That is your NOA1 account in USCIS, use this number to check your status in uscis.gov.
