Attorney worth it?

I am a former police officer and government employee. I have experience with filing legal forms, representing myself in court, testifying, etc. I know the legal system and basically have had no trouble with not having an attorney before. My question is this, will having an attorney speed up the process at all?

An attorney can NOT speed up the process.......if you have a red flag that will be an issue for you then hire one.

we had an attorney he didnt even take care of what we thought was two issues that needed an attorney..... if i had found vj first i am pretty sure i could have saved two years of my life that i waited.....he was also useless at interview time......

just my opinion
