My husband has his K-3 and will be entering the US soon. As part of the I-485 application, I see that he will need a medical exam. My question is 2-fold: A) does his med exam in his homecountry for the K-3 visa interview count? B) If the answer to A is yes, then how do we get a copy of the results since as far as I know they are in the sealed envelope he has to give at POE-- any chance they give any of those documents back??

Thanks for the help!

Hi,

Your Medical for K3 is valid for one year so you'll be fine once you apply for AOS within one year from your medical overseas. They will not give it back to you that's for their records. all you need to get is a copy of vaccination.

Once you get here, you have to notify the NVC that you will be adjusting your Status here in U.S. so they will send back the documents to USCIS. Good luck!
