On Wednesday the 11th I had my Interview in Memphis TN. I have to say it was very hot down there. We live in the mountains of east TN and the 9 hour ride was long and hot. Memphis ended up to be a unwelcomed 110 degrees with 100% humidity. That said, that was the only bad thing on the whole trip.

My Interview went fast. I was 15 minutes early and even though the waiting room was full I was called in after waiting 15 minutes. The lady was very nice and took me to a small office. She swore me in and then we started on the civic test.

1. Name one war fought by the United states in the 1900s?

2. We elect a US Representative for how many years?

3. The house of Representatives has how many voting members?

4. In what month do we vote for President?

5. Who is the chief justice of the United States now?

6. Who wrote the Declaration of Independence?

Then she asked me to read fallowing sentence: Who is George Washington?

I had to write: Washington was the first President.

After that we went over my paperwork. The whole thing took about 15 minutes. She Congratulated me and gave me a paper that confirmed that my application has been recommended for approval. Now I wait for the letter and the date for the oath ceremonies.

Congratulations!!!

Unfortunately for you, you will need to take that drive again for Oath. I wish they were a little more accommodating about such long drives and distances and get both interview and oath on the same day!
