Green Card name change

So I wasn't quite sure where to post this so hopefully this will do.

My wife is looking to join the armed forces, while talking to the recruiter he pointed out that her green card name (First & Maiden last name) did not match her social security card name identically (First name, Last maiden name-Last married name).

He said that she cannot join until we have the green card changed, and I'm not 100% sure whether I need to go to my local immigration office or apply online somewhere.

Thanks for any input guys.

There's a form called I-90. The fee to change your card is $300+ dollars.

She can also just change her SSN to reflect her GC name, it's free.

Change the name on the SS card tomorrow for FREE. When her conditional card expires in two years you can chnage the name on the green card when you are paying the $535 fee anyway.
