Hi Dip_Stick,
FYI and FY consolation, I am still waiting.... Congressman and Senator said it's gone for a background check. I did place an inquiry with USCIS through their help line on Jan 17, but haven't heard anything yet.

What are you doing?

To any one that got a NOA1 before me and has not been approved. Have you been approved and have not updated your information here or your time line or have you just abandonded the I129F? Also if you have not been approved what measures have you taken to try and get some some help in regards to your petition.
Zimba if you still come around here, how did you do it to get your petition approved after so long and what reasons did they give for the over due NOA2? after 283 days!

Dhobee thank you for your responce. I was thinking that the other peopel just abandoned the I129 if their I130 was approved. Im sorry that you are sill waiting believe me I know exactly how you feel At the moment I to have called USCIS about 2 weeks ago. So im currently waitng to hear from them. I also wrote to my senator and congressman and sent them my information so Im waiting ot hear from them. Every time I call the senators office I cant ever get ahold of an immigration case worker. Im having more luck with my congressmans office and the lady helping me out is friendly. She said she placed a congressiona inquery and that it usually takes 30- 60 days for a responce. So its more waiting time. I posted my long wait in the MENA forum and I got a sourse information and I got a tip of some one that might be able to help.

"7 months is a very long wait for NOA2...insh'allah you will hear good news soon. Have you tried contacting the Ombudsman for the USCIS?

The Ombudsman cannot make them approve or change an adverse decision, but they can assist when processing a case falls out of the USCIS guidelines. It is worth a try, check the links below out:

Im going to waitn a bit more to see if I get a responce from the congressinal inquery. Have you had any touches since May? Have you filed and I130 and if so is it also stuck in checks with the I129F?
