Probably because the word Australia has been used on here so many times the adsense assumes people are interested in going there.

The ads on the top of each page, I'm convinced, are personal based upon the cookies on your puter. I've never seen one of those ads. What I have seen, are ads that relate to me. A lot of pregnancy ones, ones displaying where my man goes to school, the online games we play, where I shop online. etc are ALWAYS on the pages here.

for instance, the ad on this page that I see is for Lord and Taylor, one of my fave stores

eta: now it's for Uni Studios...I was browsing a while ago for season tickets.
