She's probably not a monster-in-law in the traditional sense. She just drains me. Let's put it this way. I do not look up to her, and I try really hard not to look down on her. If she was not my MIL she would not be my friend, as she is my complete opposite.

If my mother in law lived in the states (or anywhere near us), I'd already be in the big house.

I'm jealous of the Honey Crumpet/Empress meet up! I shoulda been there! *sniff*

Honey Crumpet/Empress/Trompe meet up and yes, you should have been there! Do Rush ever play LA? Because there's your excuse......

Oh I didn't realize you were there too Trompe!! yes they do play out there! LOL Trying to find a way to afford it for both hubby and me though -that's another matter entirely. :(

Please come to LA! We also had another former VJer there too, so it felt like a school reunion. I felt bad for the Empress's husband and my BF, but I suppose they've heard enough about this place to know we'd be cracking a bunch of in-jokes.

It was groovy! But painfully short (which was due to our cramped schedule). I'm hoping to make it back to LA this summer. Of course, everyone's welcome to come to Phoenix! Cheapo hotel deals this time of year. :star:

I'm pleased to announce that I had fondue Friday night! At a place downtown called The Arrogant Butcher. They have a nice appetizer, big homemade pretzel pieces & provolone fondue. The ground-up Quaalude additive, a la Joyce, was missing, but it was a tasty treat nonetheless.

I have a 10-10 rule in my house. Don't frigging call here before 10am or after 10pm. If you call here before 10am you are disturbing our weekend. If you call here after 10pm I am going to freak out because the only reason for a call that late is a death in the family.

My MIL has not followed that rule AT ALL. She will freaking call at 7:00 or 8:00am on a Saturday. She will freaking call at midnight. Even though she has spoken with her son at 10:00am and 12:00pm and 2:00pm and FREAKING EVERY HOUR ON THE HOUR.

Okay. Got that off my chest.

This was the suckiest, sucktastic pile of suckage of a week I've had in a while :(

Next week has got to improve, or I'm going to need a lot more chocolate.

Sorry to hear that Pooky. :( I hope it clears up for you and you get to have more chocolate notwithstanding things being better!heart.gif

And thank you for revitalising the b!tches thread. We all need to have a moan from time to time!

It happens. :(

Still, next week is another week. And there is the distinct possibility of curry for dinner tomorrow night. :hehe:

Don't interrupt me when I'm talking to myself
