Yo, b!tches! I've been on the East Coast since the 3rd, getting ready to fly back tomorrow. I got to see my boyfriend in NYC for one night and day when our paths happened to cross and it was one of those magical winter New York moments -- all cold and frosty, bundled up, Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center, hot cocoa... luv.gif Then I spent another few days in the city hanging out with friends, singing karaoke, dancing to a fantastic band in Greenwich Village, eating nummy Italian food... then back to my hometown for time with the parentals, excessive drinking of Manhattans with an old high school pal, sushi and sake bombs with an ex, and lots and lots of relaxing. It's been a great early Christmas present to myself.

I know right, that sounds perfect Maven.

I have a bit of a b1tch. So I've been at my job for over a month now and it's going great, but I can't help but feel disappointed. The project I was hired for? I was told that I'm actually doing something else... I was originally working on the sex project (ooh, er) but now doing the smoking project. That put me off a little bit. I still don't have my own desk so am constantly being kicked off other peoples when they need it. I still haven't been through training as they wanted to wait until the new girl arrives. So then the new girl starts working there (3 weeks after me - until then I was just given textbooks to read) and she immediately gets a desk cleared and starts work on the project that I was supposed to be doing. I've brought it up with my boss in a meeting (that I really wanted to work on the sex project as I was hired for that and am interested in that one more) and she said she doesn't know yet what she's going to get me to do as everything is chaotic. So as I'm sitting around the office with nothing to do on most occasions, the new girl is out being trained and on appointments.

At the moment I'm not sure what to do about it. In general I enjoy working there and I feel lucky for the opportunity, but very upset that I'm being pushed to the side. It doesn't help that I've heard the new girl be a b1tch on more than a few occasions, and I try to genuinely be a nice person to everyone.

I would be so pissed!!!! The good news is that you are finally getting some experience in the US, and this will look great on a resume.

If I remember right, you were thinking about going back to school and possibly starting a family in the next few years. So from that view point you do have other things going for you. ** your crappy company and the b!tch princess they hired. They sound like they can't pull their heads out of their asses if they hired you without a spot to put you. I'd stick around and milk their benefit package for a couple of years just so I can something great on my resume.

Our VisaJourney started July 2009 when I mailed the 129-F

Fiance here February 2010, married 10 days later

GC received in the mail 10-Jun-2010

Able to apply to remove conditions 12-Feb-2012

BABY GIRL BORN JULY 2011!!!

I am so ###### god damn pissed right now!!!!

Nik just called, he stopped at the house to check on things after work on his way back up to the parents' (we have moved up here to help with dad and for Christmas etc) and someone has broken in and stolen ######!!

Our lap tops were up here and the TV and his computer are still there, but the only other thing he looked for was the Wii, which is missing with all the controllers and the games. I'm trying to be all, Oh, maybe some little kid with a ####### shameless piece of ###### dad will get a cool toy this Christmas, but then I thought if he got a Wii for Christmas, maybe he's a spoiled brat, and it just made me madder!!!

I mean, I can't even count all the crappy shitty awful things that have gone on for us in the last 1/4 of 2010. What ###### BS.

#######, he's left now, and I won't be able to sleep thinking some jerk has my wedding jewelery.

I'm off to go swear some more while I think of something productive to do about the situation.

Well, I decided I'd never be able to sleep at the parents while wondering what else had gone missing, so we've come home. After looking around, it seems as though they peered in and saw the Wii and took that and left. Important papers undisturbed, stacks of dvds nearby left untouched, they didn't even open the other file drawer or go for the strong box in the closet.

Wedding jewelery still safely tucked away.

After some more reflection, I'm starting to find ways it could have been worse. If we had been at home with the cats, they surely would have been out that open window, but they are instead safe at the parents'. The only damage seems to be the missing window screens (two!), so no huge repairs to complete. I feel that any stolen identity/financial issues are unlikely.
