I am gathering information (proof) in order to submit the K1. My fiance & I started speaking in April 2010. I have phone records from April through July of many conversations on my cell phone. However, during the month of May I obtained a home phone for the purposes of getting cheaper phone calls. We spoke sometimes for 7-8 hours at a time on the weekends. The phone company is going to charge me $25 a month ($75) for these phone records. I only want to purchase them if absolutely necessary, and I'm not sure if they are or not. I have many pages of emails/Facebook messages, copies of passport (stamp,) airline ticket stub, and receipts of things we did together. Can anyone offer thoughts on if these other phone records are necessary or even helpful? Or are they just superfluous? Thank you!

They could help, but with all the other proof, they are by no means necessary. If you are worried, get just one month, the most recent one. But if I were you, I wouldn't bother.

For submitting the I-129F petition you don't need to show proof of an ongoing relationship, just proof you have met in person in the last 2 years. Although most people front load their petition, its really only advised to those dealing with high fraud consulates, which England is not one of them. As coconut said, if you want to add the records you can, but its not necessary. Good luck!! :)

I highly doubt you will need it. England seems to rarely look at the evidence K-1 filers bring apart from the financials.

As others have noted, none of this stuff is necessary or particularly helpful if you're speaking of the 129f--only solid material evidence of meeting in person in the past 2 years before filing. If you're talking about what to bring to the interview in London, what you have sounds like plenty, and you likely won't show much, if any of it. After having recently finished going through the London consulate, we would not bother with ordering those extra records if we were in your shoes.

You said you just began speaking in April of this year. Have you met in person? That is a requirement of the K1.

You might think about switching from whatever home phone you have to a Vonage plan if you have cable internet at home. Vonage is very inexpensive, with free landline calls to the UK, and you have instant access to your phone records for free online, with very detailed records of all calls (even searchable, which makes retrieving the records for just your fiance's calls very simple.

I have Vonage with the $25/mo unlimited world plan, and for an extra $4.99/mo I got a virtual number in Peter's hometown in England, so he's able to call me unlimited for free as well (it's literally like he's dialing a landline number down the street!). You've also got the added benefit of Simulring, which will allow you to have your number ring on your cell as well as your home phone at the same time, so you'll never miss his call.

Only proof of meeting in person is useful for the petition. Save the rest for the visa interview.

If you ever text each other on a cell phone you can send those messages to your email and then print them out. Alot of people dont know that you can text your messages to your email...you just have to create a contact with your email address yes and without an iphone too, you can use any cellphone

You have the date the time and if you text back and forth a couple of times you have a mini conversation to present to the CO
