When you are drunk you KNOW what you are doing and you know if what you are doing is questionable and you can choose not to

I don't know how you can say this so matter-of-factly. It's just not true. And stating that it is not true does not imply that you are absolving people of responsibility for their actions when they are drunk.

You can throw as much of a hissy fit as you want, doesn't change the fact that you're wrong.

This is clearly a topic you know very little about.

Yay, I'm having a hissy fit.

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

I can because it is true. People do things that they would not normally do, correct, but they do them knowing that what they are doing is unusual for them. Seriously, are you suggesting that the people who drive drunk do so because when you are drunk you can't decide not to? That's ridiculous.

alcohol can make you do stuff you wouldn't normally do otherwise.. one time I had a really strong drink on an empty stomach and I got really light-headed and I couldn't stop talking.. I was even saying out-loud, "why can't i stop talking?" I am usually shy and quiet and don't say much when I am around other people...

You wouldn't know "true" if it hit you in the face.

You're making that story up. It can't be true because MC is right about everything.

I know a woman who strips off in public when she is sober

She is called Vanessa the Undresser

and is on at the Black Bull every hour starting at 9pm

She doesn't drink

She does it for the money to buy cocaine

Don't sit on the front row...

 She even said she knew she was talking when she didn't normally. Awareness of something means you can choose to do it or not do it. If someone had suggested she drive a car, I bet she would have said no. There is nothing 'wrong' with talking a lot, it's not a decision of conscience.

For my bday in 08, I had two martinis over the period of the whole night, and I seriously couldn't move or feel my face. I think the bartender spiked my drink,

Just sayin :)

You were probably feeling his face

I only had that one drink though.. who knows what might have happened if i had more to drink...

I have seen what people do when they have too much to drink.. they think they are capable of anything and are not really aware that they are drunk...

Hahahaha, no.

One minute, I'm dancin with my peeps 'apple bottom jeans, boots with the furrrrrrrrrrrrrr', next minute, I look at my friend Deb and say 'I'm not feeling so well.' It was the last thing I said that night. She brought me to a chair, my head hit the table. My friend Caesar had to carry me out.

They all thought it was funny that I was so drunk, but I heard every single word they said. I was alert, just couldn't move.

If the drink is to blame, why is that some people who drink and get drunk will not drive (for example) no matter who suggests it? Are they super human?

I'm not suggesting that people are unable to make good decisions as in they are forced somehow by the alcohol to make stupid decisions. Is that what you're asking? I guess I really don't understand what you're asking.

Have you ever seen someone so drunk that they speak in nonsense words? So drunk that they lose a six-hour stretch of time from their memory forever? Are YOU suggesting that a person in such a state knows their #### from their elbow let alone is able to distinguish between right and wrong? People who are prone to such behavior when intoxicated should not get intoxicated at all.

How do you feel about drugs? Do you think people are capable of distinguishing between right and wrong when tripping on LSD?
