Yes play dumb. Careers means here for a few years and then out. People work in a range of countries around the world, but that does not mean they stay there. If the country and the Constitution was all that, then surely more people from the first world who have a choice, would chose to migrate here permanently. A large portion of immigrants to America, are now from Latin American countries and India.

Even China of all countries is willing to analyze and ponder a different approach; that is, think and test if their current approach is best for their country in the rapidly changing 21st century.

Not good ol America. If it's written in the Constitution, then no logical or rational discussion period can alter or change anything - end of story. On top of that, since you are obviously already the best, why would you want to change right? Forget about the various studies that illustrate you haven fallen behind in a range of areas. Forget about things like vast sections of Jersey looking like a total dump. Rubbish. Go USA! USA! USA! but... shutup!! USA! USA!

Yep. Being financially responsible is almost a crime nowadays.

I guess it's wrong to pay less in rent than a HOA fee for my $600,000 condo that I'd also be making payments and paying taxes on.

Jersey is a different story, as many have money but the state still looks like #######. Probably has a lot to do with people's attitude there.

You came here on immigration visa, right? Because of a USCitizen Spouse, yes? You didn't 'country-hop' because the Multi-National Corporation's Office in Sydney (or Alice Springs) decided you'd best serve the company with a transfer to USA, right?

You do remember about 'constitutional amendments' and 'how laws change things' over time, right?

Yes, had it not been for my wife, I would not have migrated here. The Q.O.L offered by AUS, is simply no match here.

It is what it is, instead of hating me or denying the reality that the US now ranks poorly versus the rest of the first-world, do something about it. Unfortunately hating on the messenger does nothing to rectify the US's position. As doesn't pretending the US is still the leader of anything, other than GDP and Military.
