Hi All

I'm visiting the UK in October to see my family (YAY!) Is it okay to travel on my current passport which still has my maiden name as long as I show my marriage certificate and resident card? Also, when I'm booking my ticket, it will ask for my name and says it needs to be the same as my passport - do I just travel under my maiden name? Totally confused.

10.13.09 ~~~ EAD received!

10.15.09 ~~~ Applied for SS Number .....

10.20.09 ~~~ Email saying AOS approved and card being produced!!

10.24.09 ~~~ Green card received!

yes, travel on the name on your passport, thats what I would say.

Keep your marriage cert. just in case if you need it.

Also if you have doubt you can call the airlines you traveling with and you can check with them, they can recomm whts the best option.

In my opinion getting a ticket in married name and passport in maiden name would create more confusion, so just get the ticket on the same name that you have in passport.

Usually the airlines will insist on you booking the ticket on the name that is in your passport. I'm guessing that you have your married name on your green card, so as your passport is in your maiden name, then you may have to show your marriage certificate on the way back into the US.

8-20-13------Case Transferred to CSC for further processing

8-24-13------Transfer notice arrived in the mail today

10-21-13----ROC Approved!

10-25-13----Received approval letter in the mail

10-28-13----Production of 10 Yr Green Card ordered

11-01-13----Card has been mailed!....Received USPS tracking number

11-04-13----10yr Green Card arrived in the mail today....Yay!!
