Its a pick and choose thing. When desperation hits, these types of characteristics seem to evolve. It usually happens most when one has no principals. You will see the anger evolve even more as we get closer to election day.

You missed the part about amending the Consitution. It's made to be difficult to change but there hasn't been a serious discussion on this issue in decades.

The U.S. is the only developed nation with birthright citizenship and we're always told to get in step with the rest of the planet except on this issue. The rest of the planet needs a place to dump the surplus population.

No problem at all to try to amend the Constitution if we want to. Be hard but can be done.

How to amend the Constitution is clearly laid out within it. If we wanted to have Bush back as King, there's a process to do that, starting with some serious changes to the document. An extreme example (cuz I should be King!) but it could be done.

Some highlights of items change 1) abolish slavery, 2) allow women the vote, 3) prohibit alcohol sales, 4) Woops! cancel #3 and allow alcohol sales, 5) limit the terms of the President, etc ...

It's not that hard to change the Constitution. One judge did it to infer birthright citizenship for all where there was none in the first place. Judges do stuff like that all the time.
