yipee! husbands visa is finally approved. visa is now en route at hubbys house. for the cfo, does he need to make an appointment or it can be walk-in? what are the hours? is it one day event? how much is total fee? sorry lots of questions. just super happy! it has been a very long journey for us. can't wait to be in hubby's arms! :D

The CFO guide is included in the package that your husband will receive. For PRISM, the first seminar of the day starts at 10 am followed by a 1 pm schedule. There's no need for him to reserve a slot. He can get the CFO sticker afterwards and wrap it all up in a day. The total fee adds up to Php 650. (Php 250 to be paid for in PRISM; 400 to be paid for in CFO)

Remind him that he has to photocopy the Certificate of Attendance which will be issued after the seminar.

He should also bring his PDS which is included in the visa package. (I saw ladies with IR-1/CR-1 visas who had that.)

The rest of the requirements are indicated on the paper.

People's Reform Initiative for Social Mobilization (PRISM) and Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO). Your fiancée can have her seminar at either PRISM or SMEF-COW if she's in Manila. If she decides to go to PRISM, she has to get her sticker and the Guidance and Counseling Certificate from CFO.

I was the sole K-1 visa holder at the seminar. The rest were IR-1/CR-1 visa holders. good.gif

Your fiancée can take the seminar either before or after she receives the visa. If she chooses to take it before getting the visa, she'll have to return to CFO to get the sticker and certificate affixed to her passport/visa. If she decides to take it once her visa is on hand, she'll accomplish everything within a day.
