Well, as expected the senators office has not gotten back to me. After talking to the caseworker in the morning, I forwarded my original inquiry with recent information (or lack there of). Needless to say, no results yet the first time I emailed was late in the afternoon, then the next morning at 10a he was appoligizing for taking so long........SO,

Today I called emailed and then called the congressmans office. The lady seemed very helpful and sincere...I actually got a sympethic 'awww' when we were talking. She sent the inquiry to her liason while we talked and said it sometimes takes a few days but she would at least touch base no later than tomorrow even if she doesnt have information back yet. She said whatever is sent to her she will forward also.........IS IT POSSIBLE I FOUND SOMEONE THAT CARES ABOUT US???

I even explained the lack of assistance at the senators office so that she know.

Let us pray that I hear good news.

I had basically the same experience with my senators (both of them). My congressman was able to respond in few days and sent letter via FAX to director of CSC and low and behold we got our approval 48 hours later.

As a side note, I got a call back from one senator (after waiting almost 2 months for them to take action) asking what else they could do as they contacted CSC this week and found out we were already approved.

My response is probably unprintable, however I did get it across to them that their assistance was of no use what so ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least I know someone will LOOK INTO it. I am beyond that 'patience grasshopper #######'. Its been long enough and the processing organization is all jacked up. 138days and no idea when they will look at me is unacceptable.

Your getting touched. I hope thats good. I got touched the day when they posted that they recieved my RFE and the day after when they responded to an email saying 'wait 30days'. Nothing since... We are not the only ones in the waiver situation, but I haven't seen anyone go through that has one....IDK if there is any logic to any of this anymore.

I think yours is worse than mine but sadly we are in very similar situations. If they didnt return yours back, you would have missed the whole IMBRA issue. Me on the other hand, I am just wishing I had spent Valentines wiht her like she originally requested instead of march. We wouldnt be dealing with this either.......believe me...guilt on my part.

Regardless, you, I, KitKat and a host of others should have been processed by now. Good luck.

Hello sbgwolf 1,

We too wrote our Congressman last Thursday. We encountered the same problem with our Senator’s office too. Like you the woman that I spoke to on the phone seemed very pleasant and even wrote me the next day.

Luke,

I have contacted to California Service Center on your behalf to see about the status of your case. I will let you know as soon as I hear back from them.

Thanks!

Jordan

Like you we are hoping, waiting, and praying we hear good news soon. I will keep you in our prayers as with the rest of us who are waiting. Just thought I would let you know what is going on, on our end.

Good luck God bless you and us with a NO2 approval this week I pray.

If senators dont help, there are plenty of congresspeople who may...

my congressperson did get on the ball within 24 hours, but got a ####### response from CSC.

I 1/2 way expect that. But at least a) it will show csc I am inquiring. B) I will continue to call for updates with the congresswomans office since I cant get them myself. c) I will know that my file is not lost in some filing cabinent that was moved into a storage room never to return.

Bless us all and good luck on our cases for speedy approvals

I've given up on my senators. The first one I contacted was very mean the first time I spoke with her. I left her a voicemail last week to check on my case and today she told me the response to my inquiry was to wait 30 days. (She also believes they are processing by NOA1 date and her explanation for why April May and June cases have already been approved is that every case is different. At least the other senators office actually said out loud that CSC is not handling cases correctly).

My other senators office contact is very kind but is completely overworked and cannot seem to get to my case. So Friday I contacted my congressman. I highly doubt that they can do anything more than inquire and come back to me with "wait 30 days". And what does that mean anyway? Does it mean I am supposed to wait until August 20 - 30 days after they input my RFE that they received on July 13 - and then I am allowed to make a stink?

Thats what my senators office said. Wait 21 days...then it turned to 30 days. Now that 30 days have passed, he brushed me off and it seemed he wanted off the phone. Still no update on our conversation, voice mail, or email. I was clear to the congresswomans office I am tired of '30 days' answers and it means to me 'go away'. I hope she gives me a little more insite. I told her about the senators office and she goes 'did you talk to joe'. I said yea. I wasnt sure exactly what that meant but she wanted my email adr as well as my phone number. She also said that emailing is a slow process that gets filtered and when I need something to call her instead....we will wait and see...

Unfortunately, you may be stuck till that boat of waiting. They recieved my RFE on 7/6 and input it 7/11. Hence I waited as patiently as I could for friday to come...now I want updates.

ME TOO!!!! Same thing, CSC signed for the RFE July 6, but emailed receipt date of July 11. My congressman's office did call me back last Wed. saying that CSC had called them back and said they "flagged" my file to go out last Friday or today. The guy in Congressman Wu's office said CSC told him they would call him as soon as the file was finalized and shipped out, and that he would then call me. I waited patiently till about 10:00 am and called to check (as I have not had an update from CSC since July 11), and the guy says they should be getting it out very soon. He also said he called NVC, who said they are waiting for CSC to send the file to them so they can get it back to Paris ASAP). All I know is, I wish they'd get off dead center at CSC and get the ball rolling. GEEZ!!!! It's been over 30 days since they "received" the IMBRA RFE - I want to see some action NOW!!!! At least my congressman's office did something. I had no luck, not even a courtesy response, from either of my senators. I'll be letting them know how I feel about that at the ballot box!!!!!
