Query on CSC packet arriving on Saturday

Good morning to everyone.

My question is simple and I would think that probably a lot of people have had a similar experience.

I sent my I-751 package on Thursday to the CSC (USCIS California Service Center, PO Box 10751, Laguna Niguel, CA 92607-1075) priority mail with signature confirmation. Through track & confirm I found out that it arrived on Saturday morning in Laguna Niguel, CA but I suppose, this being the government, it was shut so they left a note and USPS are keeping the package at the local post office.

I presume that some time later on today someone from CSC will go to pick it up? Or should I schedule a re-delivery?

Has anyone had such an experience before?

Thanks in advance!

well, here's the problem -

I sent my I-751 package on Thursday to the CSC (USCIS California Service Center, PO Box 10751, Laguna Niguel, CA 92607-1075) priority mail with signature confirmation

the signature confirmation requires a USCIS human, and normally, the signing human doesn't work at the PO box.

But wait a bit, a signing human will show up, sometime this week, sign for it, and take the package.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

It looks like it went to a PO Box so it will sit there at the post office until the person who picks the mail up for the USCIS goes to the post office and signs for it. I am sure they will have many to sign for besides yours.

Thanks for your fast response Darnell :)

In fact, I just realized also that part of my question 'should I schedule a re-delivery' is meaningless; only the recipient can arrange a re-delivery :bonk:

So there's not much I can do bar wait. As my wife also told me "don't fret, I'm sure a lot of post arrives there on Saturday and they have ways of handling this" :P

Again thanks!

Thanks hamigirl, indeed that appears to be the case. CIS cases almost always end up in PO boxes so I'm sure if they did not want mail received on weekends they would have said so in the instructions of the corresponding form. Still, it's always good to double-check!
