https://wwws.whitehouse.gov/petitions/!/petition/remove-restrictions-prevent-spouses-legal-permanent-residents-green-card-holders-be-reunited/x5WscHSj

the reason is it might help f4 too........it might benefit other categories too...bcaz if relative of permanent resident will be given status of immidiate relatives ,f2a is out of visa categories in 226000 visas ....and 88000 of f2a visas will be awarded to other categories....so all other categories may benefit from this ......

F4 filers

Kindly do support the VJ member jhp initiative for signing to voice for good changes in immigration..I personally feel that the amount of sacrifice and hardship faced by the families in sending their family member to US either for studies or working is tough and wherein the life is not guaranteed forever, this separation creates even more vacuum..

1) Petitioner's Original Birth Certificate:

As per NVC's instructions, petitioner's original birth certificate is required for F-4 along with DS-230. We had already submitted petitioner's original birth certificate along with I-130 application. We don't have another original certificate to be sent with DS-230 application. Does it mean we have to obtain another original birth certificate now?

2) Our case is for Mumbai (India) consulate. I was told by NVC person on phone that Police certificate is not required to be sent along with DS-230 but it is only required at the time of Visa interview. However, now NVC says that it needs Police certificate also. Have the requirements changed for Mumbai consulate? Just that this is delaying approval process.

The intent for visa ready preparation is always "Better Be Safe than Sorry"..

1) First u should not have sent the original birth certificate while filing I-130(To USCIS, even a photocopy is sufficient..)as it is difficult to track your documents within USCIS..NVC is better organized, even if u send the original certificates to NVC, u will get it back during the Interview stage..The Only option now is to take a certified copy of the birth certificate and send it while filing DS 230

2)As i said before "Better Be Safe than Sorry"..Do have all the documents in hand, it will make your visa approval easier. You can go through the below link for the details on Police Certificate

"Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act" (H.R. 3012)

Conclusion....This is a first step in the right direction. When members of Congress hear from their constituents on a particular piece of legislation, they are more likely to enact a bill into law.
