Hi Visagrant and everybody,

Thanks for the reply, i"ll try to contact NVC regarding my brother's case and see what they say about the approval of I-130. Also, I just checked online and I also got the SIF, so I guess it's a waiting game again. Hope fully the retrogression won't take that long(keeping my fingers crossed). Good luck everyone.

Good Day to all!

I'm Liza, my story is my grandfather filed a petition in the 90's to my father and his siblings since my granpa is an American citizen for being a veteran during the world war and just last year my father received his case number, unfortunately my granpa is already deceased and they told us that the petition is withdrawn for that matter. My question is can we reprocess the petition since my father have relatives there in the US?.If any of you have the same story as ours pls give me some advices.Thanks much

Apart from what i said in post 384 u have to make a note of the following too..

u should show a VERY compelling humanitarian reason why the petition should not be revoked. This tends to be a lot easier when the beneficiary is a child or is otherwise dependent on family members in the US, and substantially harder when the beneficiary is an adult with a family of their own.

Unless you're willing to do a serious amount of research into this subject, I suggest you consult with a good immigration attorney. Humanitarian reinstatement is not a slam dunk process. If it's denied there will be no appeal. You have only one chance to get this right..

Your time line is similar to another VJ expert udaypannu, he got the SIF on Jan 25..

and also his package might have reached the US embassy in India...He can help u out..

Coming to Retrogression..it is still a mystery for F4 Visa Category..

1) what address should one give for the question ....where does the beneficiary intend to live in US ?..........

2) How do i update the USCIS regarding address change , as i will be filing for F4 in feb 2011 and will be relocating to connecticut in June 2011?

We are waiting for interview date, I called NVC last week and they told me that our visa number is available but because of limited capacity of Mumbai consulate I have to wait for interview date. Any one got similar answer from NVC? Does my case be affected by retrogression?

Hi Noval,

If your parent's case has the priority date before Jan 1, 2000, the case will not be affected by Feb 2011 retrogression. I hope your parent will get the interview date soon.

Noval, do provide ur timeline from the I-130 approval to the date the case completed and then all the F4 VJ experts can help you with the retrogression data analysis..

My case was completed on Jan 11. I was thinking of getting a interview in March. But after reading your post i think that i might have to wait a longer time.

NVC told me to wait for 8 weeks for any notification.

Without your priority date it is impossible to say if you are affected with retrogression or not.

Do provide some more information about your timeline.

today i am sending I-130 for my brother.... for my sister i am in some sort of dilemma to send or not.....my brother-in-law told me his employer has filed for EB2/3 ....i have to figure it out for my sister sometime soon...
