Does anyone know how long the processing time is for sponsoring a sibling (F4) from Canada? He is a Canadian born citizen. I've been reading 2001 and then I see I-130 processing times for February 2010.

CIR is also help to eliminate the huge backlogs under F4 category......so , their is no need for separate discussion ....

How old were you in the year 2006?There was also a so-called "comprehensive immigration reform" at that time,and the senate even passed it,but it died int the House none the less.And today's situation has not changed too much.

I am a beneficiary from a F4 visa petition. I am currently waiting for the appointment date, but I am not sure who issues this appointment. Is it the NVC or the embassy in the city where I reside (Bogotá-Colombia) ?

Also the NVC has already sent the case to the Embassy in Bogotá, I know this because on december 2012 the wrote to my petitioner in the states that they needed to update his email address because there was some info they needed to send him, and when he called them to do the required update, they told him that he should now contact the embassy in Bogotá because the case had been sent there. So I am a little confused.

your appointment date will be assigned only by NVC.

If you didn't choose the electronic way of processing,the traditioner paper mailbag will be sent to you by the consolate of your country.

If you had chosen the electronic way,an email interview letter will be directly sent to your mailbox by NVC.So is that clear?

It turns out that the appointment email was sent by the US embassy in Bogotá on january 29th, not the NVC. Anyway, I never got the e-mail so we are re - scheduling.

The bill already passed in senate.....VAWA now this bill will present to OBAMA for Signature then it will be a law.

Same thing will occur with CIR bill....
