Every one is busy with immigration reform!!! Actually no benefit for F4 filer!!

Irrespective of the benefit...this reform will make all the undocumented to go back in line after those already in the pipeline. So they will not be ahead of the legals already waiting in line and for that they have to reduce the family immigration backlog which they say will be cleared over the course of eight years...so this reform will postpone the problem to 8 years and the present term of the president will end in 4 years..so,if this reform becomes a law then the next term president cannot reverse the previous reforms..

Streamlining Legal Immigration

  • Keep Families Together. The proposal seeks to eliminate existing backlogs in the family-sponsored immigration system by recapturing unused visas and temporarily increasing annual visa numbers. The proposal also raises existing annual country caps from 7 percent to 15 percent for the family-sponsored immigration system. It also treats same-sex families as families by giving U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents the ability to seek a visa on the basis of a permanent relationship with a same-sex partner. The proposal also revises current unlawful presence bars and provides broader discretion to waive bars in cases of hardship.

so from next time read something regarding CIR and den post your comments....

I think we can all agree the Immigration Reform Bill will speed up the visa availability process. However, this will take about a year to be implented and will not effect most of us close to our PDs.

Can we now please back to April 2001 pds discussion/news!!!

Today president obama told that he will pass comprehensive immigration reform in May or june 2013........
