Hi pampoo,

Happy New Year. Also an F4 applicant here, a "beneficiary" though, thru my wife. If for any consolation, the deficiency of your PD is just 20 days :). In our case, our PD is Aug1990 which became current in September 2010. Just right after we've paid our IV Fee (for 5 persons), came retrogression. Take heart... I believe it will only take one Visa Bulletin update and your PD will be current.

Cheers!!!

@ jmac0 yes i know, i am just worried of my two kids status,my eldest will be turning 26 on march, though we paid for their IV fee,i'm afraid they can't join me.First,i could not determine their CSPA age not unless our PD is current but i already send a letter to NVC regarding their status and they require me to send necessary documents for them.though i still have another option for the second preference due to auto convertion then how long will it take for them to wait again to follow us.hoping that you'll have the Angel's tounge that one more update of visa bulletin will be our turn.thanks again for the moral.

@visa grant,my brother try to call DOS,they could not provide him un update due to the cut off of PD maybe jmc0 is right just wait for the changes of PD cut off.Goodluck to everyone

I am also waiting for the same. I do not know why it has taken so long. :o

First of all HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL…..

I am asking a lot of questions and most of them are very stupid ones but still I have included them as it has been a very long wait for F4 category and don't wanna increase that time by my mistake or foolishness…

hope u all have had similar feelings and will spare sometime to read each and everyquestion and answer appropriately not in haste as my decision and indirectly my case depends on youranswers….

Questions

1. As my aunt is sponsoring my mom and we all arederivatives, she need to send 1 originalsigned I864-Affidavit of support and allTax documents required and 3 photocopies along with all tax documents for the derivatives, am I right ????

2. In email address of petitioner should I give myother email ID (it has my name and surname in it) or create a new email ID for the petitioner ???

3. As I am in US on student visa since more than 6months,

a. I will haveto mention US address in my "mom n dad's D 230 in list of children" and also inmy "address stayed after 16 years till present" but then also I need PCC onlyfor period I become 16 to my date of leaving INDIA. Right ????

b. I have got SSN, in "do u want replacement card",I need to answer yes so that my limited work permit will be revoked, am I right???

c. What should I do in "do u want SSA to assign youa SSN and issue a card" ???

4. DS230 says to get Police Clearance Certificate(PCC)from all places since age 16 to present so my mom stayed in city1 before marriage, went to city2 for 3 years of studying, came back to city1 after studying butstayed at different place and again after marriage at different place in city1than should I mention city2 in her DS230 or just city1 from age 16 to present andfor forget about city2 completely ???

a. As PCC certificate is valid only for 1 year, it shouldbe taken only after my PD becomes current, right???

b. Is there a specific format of PCC like it shouldcontain dates of from/To of DS 230 or it doesn't matter????

5. My dad's name is "XKumar" in my passport, "Xbhai"in my sister's passport, and just Mr "X" in my mom's passport, so I think I shouldwrite his name according to the respective passports in DS230 as I don't seeany other option. Am I right ???? And whatshould I do in I864-Affidavit of support as here all the names are listedone after another?????

a. Should I attach extra sheet and write all thenames in my father's DS 230 ????

b. Is there a need for an affidavit that all theynames are of only one person and if yesshould I send that affidavit or its photocopies along with DS230 ????

6. Our Petition is filed by the real sister of mymom but my grandfather used different "Last Names" in his both daughters namefrom birth certificate to school leaving and all other certificates and we havedone affidavits stating that they are real sisters and only then our case wasapproved. Now should I send that affidavitsor its photocopies along with DS230 or any other forms or it doesn't matteronce USCIS approves the interview ????

7. As I am in US I will download the DS 230, fillit out and send it to INDIA and send to NVC all forms together and I just needto go to INDIA 2 weeks before the interview for medical, it will not affecton my case, am I right??

8. My mom n dad both are employed at the same placefor more than 10 years, so in "employment from/to dates", they would write "dates ofstarting at work place to present" instead of "current date minus 10years topresent", am I right?

9. "In what occupation do u intend to work in US??" in that should I write N/A or leave itblank in all the forms ????

10. As my mom n dad never use email, I intend towrite my sister's email id in all three forms ???

11. Educational Institution attended is for collegeonly not schools, right ???

Hi All i am a US Citizen and i have filed an I-130 for my brother in Scotland

i got an NOA on July 2007 for my brother , i just called the NVC today and they told me they are working cases on January 2002....

Does that mean i expect to wait 5 years before the next interaction from them ???

All he said on the phone was that my brother would get an interview in London ...i guess i am trying to figure out if when he gets the interview how long after that etc will it take - trying to get a feel for if its going to be 5 - 6 yrs or longer ??

Any help is appreciated...

Thanks
