I got interviewed on Dec 2010, but due to retrogession i did not get the visa yet. Now If I am checking my status on https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw== it is showing that your file is expiring soon. Why is that so?

Dude..currently they r processing April 2001 PD files. ur PD is July 2001 so until ur PD is current, u won't get any call from them. Regarding ur application, its not expiring but the documents that u submitting might be getting expired, so u will just have to update them and re-submit when they contact u. I-130 never expires, only K1 petition expires. Now, wait until ur PD is current and then contact Embassy. Hope this helps u.

Thanks for the reply..! but the site which I mentioned earlier (ceac.stat.gov) is showing a message that I (beneficiary) had not taken any action within one year after the file got current that is why my file is going to expire..! In contrast to that I was interviewed once and Embassy sent me the letter that as the retrogession has taken place I need to wait till my file gets current again. So, I am little bit confused and worried too that why the site is showing the status like "Your petition is expiring soon" ?

This is why that site was closed because of us.when someone got these type of comments on their iv immigrants visa file so we guyes got confused.

its nothing to worry man its just a site and showing us our visa status.you just kalm down.its clearly mention your file is expire because that mean when your PD current again you need to submit new ds-230 new pcc new tax return.

just get these thing and take with u when u will go to embassy after getting email or call from embassy.and dnt connect embassy regarding your status on ceac.state.gov.

otherwise they will again close.

Good luck
