i think its gonna be 10

Sonblom got 10 in Adjustment of Status in USA and i presume that the persons going through the consulate interview will get a Temporary Visa for 6 months for entering through POE and get a 10yrs Green Card after landing in US..Correct me if i am wrong..:innocent:

Yes it's definitely a 10 year green card. Visa through marriage is the only conditional one - but then again they are eligible for citizenship after 3 years and we only qualify after 5. (You can actually apply 90 days before your 5th year anniversary as a permanent resident)

Hello to everyone,

Have just joined the forum and my details are as below :

PD 26th Feb, 02

Email rcvd frm NVC for COA 6th Nov 2010

COA sent by Email 7th Nov 2010

Email rcvd frm NVC for Fees 20th Nov 2010

Fees paid 20th Nov 2010

Civil docs&DS230 form rcvd by nvc 15 dec 2010

Email rcvd from nvc for for submission of ds 230 and civil docs on 18th dec 2010

Question is : As per NVCS online instructions after paying fees and status being changed to PAID, I printed the cover sheet and sent the docs before i received nvcs email on 18th december. I missed on sending snaps. Will these 2 things delay my case ? Have noticed that F4 category has not moved forward for past 2 months. Hope next months bulletin will move forward.

Call NVC(1-603-334-0700) right away and provide your USCIS case number and then u will get ur NVC Case Number. While talking to the operator, provide the email address of Beneficiary(Ur Mother) and the Petitioner(Ur Uncle). As ur PD(Priority Date) is still a year away, NVC will contact you through ur email around 9-12 months before the PD is current.

Check my latest post above regarding the timeline. That is the time line of VJ CSPA expert "Udaypannu"...U will get answers from the expert later..

Family Based is not connected to student visa. In your case, your uncle has petitioned for your mother and u r part of the derivative category.Your Interview will be based on the Country of Birth. You are the Best Judge of ur decision..

Welcome safshaikh

Pretty good progress on your timeline..:wow:

Coming to ur question, Yes, there would be some amount of delay due to the missing photos and also due to the holiday season. As such F4 category is dependant on the visa availability, the priority date has to be current as per Visa Bulletin... which means even though if ur case is complete, NVC will not schedule the Interview unless the PD is current..Just make sure u immediate goal is to get a SIF and case complete..

Then ur good to go..

Thanks for your reply. I didnt understand what is SIF.

SIF=Sign in Fail

The payment portal you logged in to pay the fees is where if your case is almost complete, then you will be unable to login again..
