please share ur views regarding cut off dates???please find number of petitions filled during 2001 to 2002....................Is really demand of visas are so much heavy or else some another reason for retrogression......because still no signs for the recovery.....i think some thing must wrong going on with US government official.....because i have very sure information that in the past year 1996 the demand for visa is very heavy due to ample of petitions had being filled in 1996....but at that time cut off dates moves very smoothly .....now petitions filled during 2001,2002 are very much less in number as compared 1996 because due to 9/11 attack ,the service centers are closed...so please share some think......thanks

May be you are ri8 there somethin wrong in USA and might be process will be fast after 9/11 2001 prority dates when this date appear in visa bulletin not yet. Just pray for the best and might be new fy 2013 bring hope for 2001 and 2002 applicants.

We can't guess what 'll happen in future just DOS can..

WE gave them updated tax proofs since a long time had passed since we last gave tax forms. No new affidavit.

Consulate is messed up. So since me and my sister had aged out over 21.... the VFS never collected our documents and only collected our parents. Meaning they also did not collect courier fees for me and my sis. Today after yesterday's interview .....i collected the passports of my parents and .... mine and my sister's passports are still with consulate since ofcourse consulate never took fees and VFS refused to take courier fees .... IDIOTS !

Now i need to wait for Consulate to realize their mistake and their call to tell me about the same after which i can go pay my courier fees and collect my passport.

Has this happened for any one else ?

PD - Feb 8th 2001 ........retrogression ? I dont understand what u mean unless u are talking about consulate taking the fees 2 years back and not giving u appointments till like now >_<

did you submitted any documents regarding cspa to nvc or to mumbai consulate prior to interview ????

and who determine that if you and your sis is eligible or not ? indian officer at pre-scaning are or consular officer ?

They did not collect our documents or CSPA docs prior to interview.

When you go for it make sure during ur interview, tell the idiot indian officer to brief you about courier fees for you and ur brother sicne they dint collect it before with ur parents or else your passports will be delayed like mine >_<

Indian guy determine based on Approval date thingy ... i figured that out as to how to do it .....

VFS is specific to indian applicants...

Done !! They called us did finger prints for my parents and told me and sis to wait since they had to check if we were eligible being over 21. They took like 2 hours to calculate and stuff and finally took our fingerprints.

In the interview the officer asked us random common questions like who called u , what she does , how many kids , etc. and granted us the visas all 4 of us !

It shud be with us in 5 days she said.

The service centers were closed but the petitions might have piled up...

I went personally to VFS and told them .. irony is .... Consulate has handed over its responsibilities to VFS so consulate wont speak to you as VFS represnts them ... but sicne VFS did not take courier fees for us they wont accept stuff from Consulate .... So you cant talk to consulate and VFS wont help you ...

Consulate will always have a balanced approach to the maximum extent possible for every case. As such Your CSPA was not calculated earlier and supposed to be done during the time of the parents interview. In such a scenario, it would be ideal if you carry additional demand drafts / cash in hand for any fees for any CSPA interviews..VFS does not make decisions for Consulate rather Consulate Convey their decisions through VFS.

You can always email to the consulate and for any replies from them, you can take the printout and convey it to VFS...
