Hi!You said you had been interviewd once in 2010,and what did the VO tell you?Why couldn't give you the VISA?

Due to retrogession coming in 2011 they didnt give me visa.

Nice to see a very active forum and topic related to F4s..!

Mine is also F4 category with priority date in 8 th Feb 2001..! I was interviewed in Jan 2011 in Mumbai Consulate once but then due to retrogression my file moved back and now I am waiting for reply. Now this time I don't know what will the consulate people do, whether they will interview me again or just give me visa directly..! I havnt get any reply from consulate. thy told me in last reply when my file get current thy will contact me but my file is current but i havnt get any reply.

Does any one get reply from consulate. please let me know.

If any one knows whats a procedure for solution of this type of problem please let me know. I really need help.

Oh it is very irritating and frustrating time for u..! But all that u can do is just wait or directly reach to consulate for better reply..! kindly update if u get any reply from consulate...!

So what do you submit 10 days prior to your interview to the VFS office ?

MY appointment letter states they have everything, wondering what else should i have to submit at vfs ?

Anyone who has submitted recently can tell me what happens ?

Based of the checklist sent by NVC, you have to provide the required documents..

Passport Photocopy

Photograph 2x2

DS-230

Birth Certificate Photocopy

Marriage Certificate Photocopy

Police Report Photocopy from Passport Office

Medical Report (Medical report will be in a sealed envelope)

Latest DS230 and quite a number of photos taken with the petitioner..

I had requested change in consulate as I am travelling overseas now hope this won't cause delays.

I just submitted the papers at VFS ... all they asked for is my father ( principal beneficiary ) and my mother's DS 230 and passport copies .... thats it.

Surprisingly my sister just crossed 2 months after 21 and i am 24 so they dint take both our stuff and asked all of us to just directly show up at the interview with the papers saying the officer will decide.

Now when i am calculating CSPA age .. i still cant figure out where to get my Approval date from, .... on what Document do you get it ?? .... the onyly one i can think of is the I-797 Notice of action..... it has a receipt date and a Notice of action date ......is the notice of action date the approval datE of the petiiton ??

what VFS stands for,don't the NVC send the envelope with all documents directly to the local embassy,why you have to send them,you should bring them to the interview,it is confusing me,did they ask you for another DS230?tThanks

Yes ishan i was in the same confusion of getting my approval date.! then i wrote a mail to NVC for my approval date and they reply me stating my approval date..!
