I have searched my entire photo album...I dont have photos of myself and petitioner....will that be a problem?

I have notarized affidavit stating the relationship between my mother and petitioner...will that suffice?

it is not mandatory.

i think affidavit will be sufficient...but it is strange that you Don't have pics of your mother and aunty together .

it is not necessary that you should have recent pics, if you have old pics, like marriage of your mother and aunty ,that would be sufficient .

FOR Indian Filers

Excerpts from another VJ Member..

When you go to VFS for document submission, please make a note of the following.

They need another original print of the ds-230 form with part 1 signed, not a photocopy of the form you sent to NVC.

Also, please note that no electronic equipment, pen drive, medicines, cosmetics, eatables, water, etc are allowed inside. There's also no locker facility available, so please make sure you dont carry any of those. Cell phones need to be switched off.

The documents to be submitted to VFS are an original ds230, current dated, along with photocopies of all the documents you submitted to NVC.

It is also advisable to submit your medical report to VFS.

Carry only ur x ray to the consulate.

Also, if you want to personally pick up your passport from VFS, you need to request them to hold it for you.

DS230 part 1 and 2 need to be submitted to Vfs with only part 1 signed.

You'll also need to submit two passport size photographs.

You need to make sure that all these documents are submitted four WORKING days prior to your interview, which means you need to exclude all Saturdays and Sundays and other public holidays.

Well, Vfs tells you that you can only pick up your passport the next evening, not the same evening.

As for the medicals, the base fee is Rs 1600. This covers chest x-ray, height and weight, blood pressure, eye exam, and a doctor's check. Mandatory vaccines are mmr and tdap. If you've never had chicken pox, you'll need to get that vaccine too. I had to get all three vaccines, so it cost me an additional 2600 for it. So about 4k for your medicals, unless you've a complicated report. You need to fix up an appointment in advance. You cant just walk in. You'll need to carry the original passport, interview letter, and two normal passport sized pics. They'll give you a few forms to fill out too. That's about it.

Medical report is available only the next afternoon after 1pm.

Try to be early to the consulate on the Interview Day...

And Finally Good Luck..

One thing is for sure for all Mumbai Based Applicants ....Do carry proof of Ongoing Relationship with petitioner whatever u have with u.i.e. Photos, call records, etc...but photos they ask to all visa category applicants

They even ask for Latest Tax returns i.e. 2011...so these 2 r must...

I would recommend if u submit new DS-230 P-1 & 2 then do submit computer filled form...it makes good impression on CO rather than hand filed forms...CO more prefer computer filled forms coz there r alot variations in hand filled forms....Its just a recommendation not must requirement...
