Welcome beenwaiting..:star:

I can understand your anxiety..Another VJ member Sonblom can provide the expertise for ur question...My thoughts..You need to work with a competent lawyer for any hope of success. It will be a good idea to invest some $$$ in a competent lawyer..I can suggest one..check the link below..

Attorney Sheela Murthy

Good Luck..

Mr VISAGRANT is right. Hiring a lawyer is best option. Murthy law firm is good. You can also search lawyers on AILA. AILA is the only legal association in the United States for immigration attorneys.

You can also opt for Law Offices Of Carl Shusterman located at Los Angeles, California. He was former INS Attorney and is expert of Child Status Protection Act(CSPA) Cases.

GOD BLESS ALL

Thanks guys! I did speak to a lawyer and he said it should be fine and that my sister would not be deported and that it is just an interview, priority date is many many years away as u can see she is a mexican citizen...even though the lawyer said it should be fine he did not make any guarantees and i am still scared...he just said for her not to sign anything without a lawyer if they wanted to detain her and to call their office(the lawyers) and they would be on their way to meet us over there (it's two hours away)... i have an appointment with another lawyer on the 27th to get a second opinion but im still anxious cus the appointment is on feb 2nd.... any thoughts??

I will try to update my timeline when i have more time. For now I can answer the simpler questions. PD is july 2000. Happy to have visa issued in january 2011 or else I would have been subjected to visa retrogression come feb 1st. My mother was principal beneficiary and really we were only asked 4 questions directed mainly towards my mother. They were

1.who is filing?

2.How did she get her greencard

3.Have any of us ever been arrested?

4.Have u ever travelled to america?

The interview itself was only about a minute long. We were approved on the same day. Received passports with visa 4 days after. really smooth process. CSPA was never mentioned.
