When I was single...

mac & cheese with tuna and green peas thrown in. Yummy.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

I have one called "Chicken A La King" you can serve it over rice or pasta....

1 tsp. butter or margarine

1 small green pepper

A handful of mushrooms, sliced (you could use canned mushrooms too)

1 1/2 cups cooked, chopped chicken

10 ounce can of Cream of Chicken or Mushroom soup

1/4 cup milk

Melt butter in frying pan over low heat. Fry the green pepper and mushromms until tender but not brown. Sprinkle salt and pepper over vegetables. Drain off oil. Put vegetables and all the remaining ingredients into a casserole dish. Stir well. Bake covered in a 375 degree oven for about 20 minutes. Serves 2 to 3 people.....

*********************************

this one is really good too.... serve over rice...

Chicken Divan

2 packages fresh or frozen broccoli and carrots

4 chicken breasts

4 to 6 slices ham, cut into pieces

8 ounces grated cheese

Thaw broccoli and carrots and drain thoroughly. If using fresh vegetables, blanch them. Put vegetables in a greased 11 by 13 inch casserole dish. Cook chicken and cut into chunks. Layer chicken in casserole over vegetable. Layer ham over chicken.

Sauce: Mix together 1 can cream of chicken soup (mushroom works too), 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon curry and 1/2 cup cream. Pour over casserole. Sprinkle grated cheese over top of sauce.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes. Serve with rice.
