i stopped working 3 years ago, do u think i can still get a job?

I stopped working for almost 3 years to focus my entire life to my family, Now, i decided to go back to work but i'm worry if i can still work or if the company will still hire me coz of that long period out of job, I have a business degree and I really dont know how to start and where to apply. Hope you could suggest me guys. Thanks!

Try applying for jobs and see how it goes.... you could also use a temp agency to help you get back into the job market and to tune-up your skills....

Temp agency would be your best bet. You can get a job, the question is, do you have the will power to work after so long?

Then there you go, more of a reason to get back out there and start working. If a temp agency sees that you still have the will power to work, they will be more eager to help you, help yourself, find a job. You will have to keep a log of all the jobs you apply for, and if you show that you have AT LEAST made an attempt, they will be satisfied. Good luck!

Try to find something you can get certified in, that's what I did, and it helps in switching jobs [if you have to].

Try searching at career builder or monster.com and see if you find one that you like. I've been idle (out of work force) for 5 years since I had my first baby as I focused all my time being with him and now that he started going to school though it's just 4 hours it's time for me to get back to business anyway, I just tried once to send my resume online to a company that I've found at monster.com and they called me right away that same day to set up for an interview so they did three interviews the final one is with the general manager it's ganna be my first day at work on monday. I got a very sweet deal for my first try though anyway, I also post my resume at monster and got some emails from different companies so, you might want to do the same you never know some company will going to contact you. Yes, it is possible that you can still get a job especially if you have some good work experienced. just keep on searching and Good luck!

I didn't work for 7 years while focusing on my family. I was apprehensive about entering the work force again, but surprised and happy to find out that not only was I welcome back into my career, but I was also management material! I was amazed at how quickly I was able to pick my job back up (I work in social work). Good luck to you- a positive attitude is very helpful. I also found that listing "stay at home mom" on my resume during the years I didn't work went a long way in explaining my absence from the field. I also listed volunteer work on my resume.
