I-130 hiccup on paperwork. no i-94

My american citizen husband is about to file for my nz born 16 yr old daughter. I have a 10yr perm residency card. My daughter just got here 2 weeks ago, due to abusive conditions and nowhere to go, back in NZ; i had no choice but to bring her here immediately. So not the ideal conditions to file, but after consulting a immigration lawyer he agreed it was the best course of action, however, tonight I started filling out what seemed to be a straight forward form until I came to question 14, where they ask for the arrival/departure record (I-94)number. She filled out the I-94 on the plane but they took the whole form when she landed at customs and security. So she does not have that information.

Any ideas? I know its bad to leave ANYTHING blank of an immigration form. But if I dont have the info, I simply 'dont' have it.

Is it possible to contact the POE she entered and have an I-94 issued?

They would give me that info? I just rang immigration, fat lot of help they were, they said they dont understand why she wasnt given it back. and that i have to call US customs and border protection to find out why.... aaarrgghhhh
