I have met many Aussies over the years. For some reason, they are not in a big hurry to return home.

I've met many american's over the years and many have no urge to leave the confines of their own country to explore the world. Australian's are at least out and exploring. We might like to travel, we might not be in a hurry to go home, but we will inevitably go back home... not everyone, we're not lemmings, to each his own.

That said, both countries are fine. I just prefer Aussie's climate, the people, the food.. well a lot of things, but here (the US) doesn't suck too much. I am scared about getting old here though, you just don't have a good health care system, or a good support system for those who were stay at home mums or whatever and don't have a 401K.. ask me again in a couple of years when i've lived a longer time here, it's hard to fight 26 years experience in one country and just under year in the other. Maybe I'll change my mind.. though I honestly doubt it unless my family comes here...
