:help: Hello everyone I am new here and have some knowledge of this process but not a whole lot. So I figure when in doubt I should ask

My question is how much of our internet chat conversations should I send in with my I130? I have daily online chat conversations dating all the way back to Dec 2007 and I don't think I should send all of them and kill a forest in doing it not to mention the backs of all who would have to go through it and lift it

Can anyone suggest to me what they did in this situation? I was thinking 2 or 3 from each month showing a variety of our discussions?

I appreciate any suggestions anybody has.

Thanks in advance!! (F)

Chats are secondary evidence. Do you have any primary evidence like passport stamps, bording passes, hotel receipts?

If you want to send chats, I suggest no more than 10. They likely won't read them

Good luck

sure I have all of that from both trips I took there. But since we met online don't I have to show proof of meeting and a timeline of our relationship together?

Being that your are going thru Morocco I would suggest frontloading your petition as much as possible. You don't need to send all of the chats, and what I did was a print screen of my chat log showing all the days we talked online (daily), and then I picked one chat per month to send. In your case I would send 1 chat for every few months of talking. And since you're married they will know that you have met, so along with your marriage certificate I would also send your airplace boarding passes, passport stamps, etc..

You may want to post a thread in the MENA forum and get some advice from others who have gone thru Casa and see what they did.

Good Luck!!!

Thanks!! I appreciate your response and that is along the lines I was thinking but I never like to do anything blind or without thought and I guess that is why it took us 2 1/2 years to get married :) I figure time is on our side now and it took us this long to get to this point so what's the rush and it is better to ask people who are in the same boat and do it correctly :) I will check out the MENA forum too I appreciate the advise!!

Good luck to you too!!!

I appreciate any suggestions anybody has.

Thanks in advance!! (F)

We got around a snap shot(print screen) for part of our conversations for every week, and we had talked since 2007(didn't find chat logs since then though,so we got ones starting 2008), and we ended up having a really big petition cause of the evidence, to the extent that people suggested we get rid of some of the evidence so that we don't get a RFE (cause USCIS employees could just get lazy checking it all out, and ask for more evidence basically)..so i would suggest you getting 2 for each month, maybe 3 if you wanna make sure you have more than enough :) (i would've gotten 4 for each month anyway, i'm just too paranoid though :innocent: ) but make sure they have a variety of things discussed, having children together, children names, you talking about your future house? lands? your dreams together, you saying you love eachother, things like that :) and you should be fine :) Goodluck with your journey

I forgot to mention yesterday, when sending chat logs be careful of what you send them, don't give them too much information or include something that will raise a flag. There is a girl who filed for her fiance in Morocco and they denied him because of something he said in their chats (so they say), so yes they do read them ( I think someone said earlier they probably will not)

All of our chats have been video chats so the text portions only contain text from when something is not understood because of accents, noise and such. A log of our actual chats would not make sense to anyone. Maybe not even us. I plan to include a log of the times we chatted which shows dates, times and length of chats. I hope that will be good enough for the powers that be.

I hope that would be enough too but I see you are still in the early stages so you might want to consider some written correspondance too such as email and letters just to be safe in my opinion (if that counts  )

Not to worry there. Plenty of letters and emails going back and forth.
