Dude, BY is right! Scandal was born without allegiance to country. he strictly picks a home based on what gonna be best for him. Depending on his principals he will select a place of his liking based upon the type of person he is.

He said in his post his obligations were that of Canada. So the question is, why does he select America? Might it be tax evasion? Hec who knows.

He doesn't come on here everyday and post about how much better Canada is than the US, unlike some others who immigrated here and bash it 24/7.

This coming from the guy who has problems with anyone, and I mean anyone, who doesn't blindly praise the US as being the best.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

My heart will always be here, no matter where I may live. He may be connected to Canada, but his life is here. Like BY is connected to Australia, but his life is here. Maybe that's the case?

I am a resident, so why would my allegiance be here? The respect the country's rules, laws and its citizens but that is about it. The other difference is that if I was to become a citizen, I would have to take oath. Scandal on the other hand was neither raised here nor swore any allegiance; which is the problem with willy-nilly citizenship by birth.

In reality, scandal is the perfect example of who should not be eligible for automatic citizenship. Hence why under similar circumstances, he would not have been eligible in the: UK, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia and I assume Israel.

Israel is somewhat special - anyone who's Jewish is eligible for citizenship, regardless of where you were born.

If I ever move to a different country my heart will always be connected to America.

Being connected and saying things like, "you guys should change your constitution to be more like America" are two different things. In some countries, that'll get you beat up or shot.
