 Greeting ya'll!!!

I am currently holding a F-1 visa in the States as a Master student. Me and my husband got married in March(yay!! :luv: ) and are thinking about getting me a green card  . He is a US citizen. We are new to this and are happy to find a commuinity :)

I wonder if I am applicable for i-485? If yes, then, can i apply for I-765 (the working permit) before my OPT? And what about i-601 (it seems to me that it is for J-1 but I am F-1)?

Another issue that i am concerned is the affidavit of support. My hubby just got back from Spain and started working in the States for half a year. He doesn't have tax return for a year. Will it be a big problem? His income is a little bit higher than the 125% poverty line and I wonder if this is gonna be a big issue since it is only a little bit higher.

One last question  Me and my hubby have two shared bank account and my parents sent me a whole bunch of money (including my tuition)to that bank. Will it be a problem if when we put the bank document in the package since it is not his money, nor my money.

Thanks ya'll for helping me out! We appreciate it oodles and oodles!

** moved from "Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from Family Based Visas" to "Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas" as you are adjusting from a visa other than a K1, K2, K3 & K4 which the prior forum is for**

Yes you can apply for AOS. You don't need to apply for OPT once you file I-765, besides you will probably get your work permit a week before the interview like most people.

You need to get co-sponsors because of your husband's situation. His income is not the issue, its enough, but the lack of tax filling in the last year is. This will take care of the affidavit of support part.

One last question  Me and my hubby have two shared bank account and my parents sent me a whole bunch of money (including my tuition)to that bank. Will it be a problem if when we put the bank document in the package since it is not his money, nor my money.

This won't be an issue at all so no need to worry.

Thanks ya'll for helping me out! We appreciate it oodles and oodles!
