Will this affect my K-1 visa?

I was previously denied a Work visa L1-b, due to my occupation not qualifying as a special skill occupation.

We are now submitting a K1 application. Will the L1 denial affect the K1 at all?

No it will not. There are many people who have had previous denied visas and were still approved. However, they may question you a little more about the validity of your relationship, especially if the visa denial was recently. Just make sure you bring a lot of supporting documents for your relationship to the interview and you should be fine. Good Luck!!!

Not based on your description of reason for the denial.... something like misrepresentation in a previous visa application that was denied would

YMMV

Be sure to disclose the visa denial at the next step, filling out form DS-156 for the Embassy/Consulate interview. That form asks about all visas approved, denied, entrances denied, etc...

Good luck.
