NVC acknowledged receipt of my RFE (Police Certificate) on July 24. It's now two weeks and I thought I would've received CASE COMPLETED already despite hearing 6-8 weeks. Spoke with someone @ NVC and they said they have a lot of applications coming in this summer so I may not get a response until in the 8th week. Dont know how true that is. Been calling the NVC recording every morning. If there is a change in the status the recording updates at midnight. This is why the operator can sometimes tell you the change in status before the recording is updated. I also had a friend who got "CASE COMPLETED and Interview Date" in the same recording. This was after NVC received his RFE a week before sometime in May. I Hope to hear from anyone awaiting Case Completed in and around the week of July 24, 2010.

According to AVR our DS-230 and I-864 packages were received on July 21st, and we have not heard anything since then. A few days ago while talking to the operator we got advised to wait a month before calling again - they are just overloaded with the papers... Yes, looking at some timelines from May we expected it to be no more that 2 weeks, and the waiting time is really frustrating now... Well, I guess we just do not have any other option, but to wait... Keep posted if you hear something.
