Hello Everybody, and Thanks for the great forum!

I am a LPR since 2006, and am married to USC, who filed I130 for my 3 year old son, who was born outside the US, and has never been here. We received NOA1 in May, so still waiting for the approval. Meanwhile, my son is with my parents back in my homecountry (Uzbekistan). How do you think what are the odds of receiving a visitor's visa for him in our situation?

B-Class Visa requires strong tie to his home country.

Would you say being 3 years old with his Mom being a LPR here is a weaker tie that his "Grands" back home?

You'll need to overcome "Immigrant Intent" which is clearly demonstrated by the I-130 petition.

Yeah, I understand that :( It is obvious he is going to immigrate eventually, but I thought they can allow him to visit meanwhile.

OK. I read somewhere on this forum that there is some kind of "electronic processing". Is there any way to request it?

Thanks a lot for the input!

P.S. I read this link http://travel.state.gov/visa/visa_4409.html, but it's not clear if it is offered to everyone

The electronic processing is for when your case gets to NVC.

You can't get a tourist visa unless you apply, I think it is worth it. But can a 3 year old travel alone? Will you need a tourist visa for who ever is bringing the child over?

Good luck

That is true. I am thinking to try, can it hurt our immigration application in any way? I was going to invite him and my Mom as guests. We got married just recently, so I thought to invite them like to a wedding (or to meet new stepfather/son-in-law etc.).

no, a denial of a tourist visa will not impact your immigration process

Good luck
