Hey!

I entered the US in June (we filed for our K-1 in the end of May). I was really nervous because I was worried about the entry, too. But everything went fine. I think the officer might have seen something on his screen stating that my fiance and I had filed for a K-1 but he did not ask anything about it.

However, I did bring evidence that showed that I'd have to go back home after 2 weeks (I had to go back to work and I had a pending university application) - just in case.

So I definitely agree that you should bring "ties".

Good luck! And have fun on your trip :)

If it's any help i visited my fiancee in May as she was very poorly in hospital, the immigration officer at LAX asked me my reason for visit and i was truthful, i said my fiancee had been taken into hospital due to heart attack (she's only 37 by the way) and he let me through with no problems, no further questioning, i think it just depends on the mood of the officer on the day

Yeah my fiance is visiting me from the UK in October as well (popular month!). I spoke with another VJ member (French) who just visited her fiance here without issue, she said they didn't even ask specifics. That said, I heard it all depends on the officer. It's so frustrating, I can't imagine how awful it would be if they denied him. He's bringing a bunch of documentation just in case, but I'm really hoping he doesn't have issues. If he doesn't get in not only is it a waste of time and money on his part, but I won't see him until Jan. :(
